One Man's Shadow
photo For appealing for the total abolishment of nuclear weapon, President Barack Obama, who was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, came to Hiroshima. He must have gone to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum right after he arrived. Then he should have seen the fact incurred on Aug. 6th 1945.
It was sunny on Aug. 6th 1945. In the morning, there was a man sitting near the entrance of the bank which was built by the granite. He might have been waiting for the bank open. After 8 am, an air-raid warned. The man might have thought that the air-raid warning happened again. However, at that moment, there was a dazzling light following with a big bang, according to the surviors who experienced this. Meanwhile, the man totally dissolved suddenly. The people around also dissolved. We cannot prove whether the people are actually dissolved or not because the people who experience this moment all died. However, we are sure that the man was leaning on the granite-made wall of the bank, because the part of the wall covered by the man's body did not dissovle. The original color of the granite-made wall remained and became a shadow. Hence, there are many sayings about the shadow from the people in Hiroshima.
The shadow of the man is exhibted in the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum now. President Obama might have also seen the shadow and said something about this. And this story about the shadow should be transmitted by word of mouth.(wrote2016.5.15)
